I use this item to cover the box spring. I didn't use it on the mattress itself because it doesn't have a zipper, which safely encases the mattress and more fully protects it from mites, dust, mold, and bedbugs. I have one of the zippered cases around my mattress itself. This item is great for keeping the the box spring clean, and it is very reasonably priced.

This product has lived up to the reviews. It is very comfortable on the bed and we are still able to protect the mattresses. We use them on our bed and all of our children's beds.

This product really protects your mattress investment. It does not let liquids through at all, yet is not at all like the "rubber sheets" that used to be used. It is virtually undetectable under a regular sheet. I would never let a child sleep in a bed without one!
