Very easy to assemble. We love the style and quality. We did however, replace the bed board which we thought was a bit too flimsy, with a piece of particle board which made it much more sturdy. Another note - if the head board had been just an inch wider, the bed itself would have fit exactly into the head board. No big deal, though...We love it! And love the drawers which are strong and made well.

We were amazed at the way the bed was packaged! It had a protective seal and lots of padding. Never saw furniture arrive so well packaged. We received it when it was promised, too.

I bought this bed for my 3yr old son. Of course he likes it, but I was disappointed. First, I've put together a lot of furniture and I had no trouble with the directions but it still took 3 hours just because there were so many parts to assemble for every drawer, the base, the headboard. The particle board is advertised as "eco-friendly" but there is no indication that it has no voc's like formaldehyde and it definitely has that strong chemical smell. Just above where the headboard meets the mattress there is a very sharp corner that I have to put a long pillow against to keep him from getting a nasty injury during the night. I can't believe that would be along where a child's head lies. [...]

We purchased this for our 4-yr-old's room and we all love it! The drawers reduce clutter -- and nothing hiding under the bed, including monsters! The bookcase headboard is great. My son's Chicago Cubs lamp is top center. He reads until he's sleepy, then puts his book back, turns the lamp off and goes to sleep! It's great. It makes the room look nice and neat. The bed is comfy and durable enough that I want to sleep in it!!

We use this bed for our 5 year old Grandson who stays once a week. For this purpose it's a perfect fit. It's sturdy, easy to assemble and looks good from a distance. Impressed at how smooth the drawers slide open and shut. The only dissappointment is that it's not "real wood", but you can't tell unless you get really close. My daughter actually just purchased this same bed for our Grandson at her home after looking at the one we set up at our home.

Decent quality but will not support a heavy person. the fiber board base is not heavy enought for that.
I would top this product out at about 165- 175 tops for constant use.

The boys are so thrilled to have the bookcase headboard space to show off their own keepsakes and trophies. The underbed storage really helps in a small shared space. I loved being able to pick it out on line and have it shipped to the kids as we live in different states.

Drawer slide fasteners use screws diametrically opposed on both sides of center drawer separators, so screws protrude blocking ease of moving drawers. Locating round-head (versus countersunk or above/below slide) screws in drawer slide track for ease of assembly, not ease of use. A similar product I had purchased at this site had a superior design.

Bed box and headboard shipped together. Headboard arrived timely, bed box did not. Shipper could not explain delay but reason evident on delivery. Bed box package had opened (rough handling) during shipping, contents not damaged other than a couple of small fasteners lost. Telephoned customer service which said parts would be shipped within 48 hours, not received in a week's time, found acceptable substitutes at hardware store.
