Radiata Pine, better known as 'New Zealand Pine' is a softwood tree that contains many properties that make it very suitable for furniture and furniture making. It has a density equal to that of hardwoods like poplar, mahogany and oak. Its uniform density ensures a smooth and consistent texture and confers its excellent machining, painting and staining properties; there is almost no variation in color between pieces. DaVinci's pine wood originates from forests maintained by managers that enforce environmental responsibility and the conservation of forest wildlife.

The color is NOT coffee. It is more of a cherry. It is beautiful, but not the color crib I wanted for the room which was already painted and had other furniture in it.

Service and delivery comments:
Service was horrible. The people I spoke with on the phone were polite. However, no one knew what was wrong with my order, which was it was discontinued. Although, I was told on more than one occassion that it was not, it turned out to be true. We bought this as a gift for my niece and had to buy an alternate crib that did not match the set. Do not think I would ever purchase from you company unless you had an item that was not carried by another company.

This Crib is great I love it had it for 7 1/2 months for my little girl and got to say it's great. sold and great color very roomy.

WARNING! the crib we recieved considered "coffee" was so different that we initally thought they shipped us the Cherry crib by mistake. After sending them a photo, the manufacturer refused to acknowledge the gross color difference between our photo & any online pictures, including those from other vendors! Despite loving the shape of the crib, we simply could not keep it because it was so miscolored. DO NOT PURCHASE if you need a true coffee/espresso color. This is much lighter and you'll wind up paying exorbitant shipping costs to return it!
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

The crib was easy to assemble. The color is beautiful. It's not as dark as what is in the picture. I think it looks more like a dark cherry. The color looks like the picture for "DaVinci M4791C Nursery Set - Emily 4-in-1 Convertible Crib and Three Drawer Changing Table Nursery Set in Cherry" on the [...] baby website. My crib had no scratches or dents when it arrived. I'm only 5' and I'll have no problems putting my son in the crib when he's born.

The crib was well packaged. Delivery was quick through CSN baby. I'm very happy with the crib.

This crib looks great and is easy to put together. The coffee finish comes exactly as it appears int he pictures online. It's made from pine, which is a soft wood that scratches and dents easily, so be careful! Baby is yet to come, lets hope she likes it!

Absolutely love it! The pine wood feels nice and the coffee color is just gorgeous! Easy to put together, altho you wanna be REALLY careful not to scratch it. At first I was worried that without a drop-side, it would be difficult for me to put down or lift the baby (I am a tiny person). Actually the highest mattress level is pretty high. I don't even have to bend over! Can't wait to have my baby in it!

This crib is absolutely beautiful. My husband is overseas right now, and we picked out this crib for our first child. I put it together myself in less than 45 minutes. Very easy to put together, and it is just wonderful!!

The crib is nice and so is the coffee color. My only complaint is that it came with scratches and a few major knicks, but I didnt want to have to send it back and wait for another one.
